Marcelo, Brazil's number 6 Whole side of a block of flats Brazil to win, leaving Messi crying in the corner Our innocent bystander Samba man Copacabana bikini babe, surreal twist with the arm somewhat … Continue reading Murals (Rio left overs)

Recife Recap – part 2: World Heritage
Olinda is the other side of the river from Recife and well worth a visit as it's a UNESCO world heritage site. It may start with great views from the top of the hill. Recife Recap – part 1: view after the rain
A brighter day in Recife (Jun 27th), so a day to tour the locale especially with no football on. We're staying in a beach front skyscraper with an interesting view down to the foyer. Our choice would have been a pousada in Olinda (see part 2) but nothing was available, though it's not a bad … Continue reading Recife Recap – part 1: view after the rain

From Here to Here
Just a quick note on arrival. A slightly late start with a flight delay, a swift 11 hour transfer, a nights sleep and now getting ready for Argentina v Bosnia tonight. Obviously, greeted by giant flag outside the hotel. That for now
England and Me on Deck
England's first game of the tournament and I'll be in the air (flying...not superman-esque obviously) so it's fingers crossed for the team and that there's not too much rioting back home depending how things go! Putting out positive thoughts that the players will give a good account of themselves and there's minimal carping in the press. … Continue reading England and Me on Deck
The Plan…
Destination: Brazil for three weeks from June 14th through July 7th. That's the plan though it does run a little deeper than that. Schedule: The itinerary has us taking in four cities, eight matches and as much of everything else along the way that time will permit. Group: The tour party is made up of myself and a … Continue reading The Plan…
